NWRG Hub FM - Digital Crossmode

Our NWRG Allstar hub has cross-mode analogue to digital transcoding to several digital modes.

This means you can use your personal digital hotspot or local digital repeater/gateway to connect to the analogue FM NWRG hub and talk through GB3EG, GB3FC, GB3PN, GB3BY and several gateways

XLX977 module C reflector provides connections for Dstar, DMR and Fusion.

Dstar - Reflector is XLX977-C

Fusion - Reflector is XLX977-C you can't select module C in Pi-Star you must select YSF71776 - XLX977 - GB3RFNWRGroup as the reflector in your YSF Link Manager. The XLX reflector lets you select which module you connect to using Fusions DG-ID. Module C is DG-ID 12. To use the DG-ID function you must select the DG-ID you want to use in your radio and transmit to the reflector to make the selection.

DMR - XLX Master is XLX_977 Module C TG6. In Pi-Star configuration set your DMR Master to DMRGateway, XLX Master to XLX_977, XLX Startup Module to C, XLX Master Enabled and use TG6

Transcoding between DStar, DMR and Fusion is done by the XLX reflector using 2 DVMEGA DVstick33. These contain  AMBE-3003™ vocoders giving us 6 transcoding channels. Analogue Allstar is transcoded to Fusion and linked to XLX977-D using a DVMEGA DVstick 30 which contains an AMBE-3000™ vocoder. We believe this combination of hardware and software gives the best audio quality and low lag times.

The M17-NWR reflector provides connections for M17 which is a new digital radio protocol in development as an alternative to those currently available and is being developed by amateurs. NWRG Allstar Hub is linked to M17-NWR Module C.

Information about M17 can be found here.
