Allstar

GB3RF uses a pair of Tait TM8110 radios and a custom-built controller which controls all the modes available. The controller is based on a Raspberry Pi running the HamVOIP version of Allstar.

Allstar is a method of controlling and connecting FM radios and repeaters to each other. It is a very flexible system that can be controlled by custom-written scripts. The repeater is set up to allow other Allstar nodes to connect to it. The repeater keeper regularly connects an Allstar node in his car to the repeater to operate through GB3RF when out of radio range. Anyone with their own Allstar node can connect to GB3RF, its node number is 47977.
