GB3PF Temporarily Off Air

18 Apr

The NOV has been approved to move GB3PF from Nelson to Accrington due to impending site loss. GB3PF has been switched off and removed from the Nelson site and will be installed at the new location as soon as possible. We apologise for the temporary loss of service. GB3PF will return with a new frequency pair so please reprogramme any stored memory channels for it. The repeater output will be 433.300MHz with a +1.6MHz split, CTCSS is the same 82.5Hz but please set your radio to narrow FM. All the 1.6MHz split 70cm repeaters are moving to Narrow FM to create more frequency pairs in the future.

New Fusion Wires-X Repeater

12 Apr

North Western Repeater Group has applied to the ETCC for an NOV for a new Wires-X Fusion repeater. The group already has a Yaesu DR1X that was used for GB3RF a few years ago. This will be connected via a Yaesu HRI-200 interface to the Yaesu Wires-X network. This will give local users access to the Wires-X network which isn't directly possible with the MMDVM based GB3RF repeater. The repeater will be located just outside of Accrington and the applied for callsign is GB7AN.
