Radio Settings.

To use a repeater you need to listen to its transmitter frequency and transmit on its receive frequency. This can be confusing so these are the settings you need for your radio.

Transmit on 145.175MHz, receive on 145.775MHz and select a CTCSS tone of 82.5Hz.

On many radios, you select the receive frequency of 145.775MHz and an offset of minus 0.6MHz with a tone of 82.5Hz. We recommend you select tone squelch if your radio has this function. This will only open your radios squelch when it detects the repeaters 82.5Hz tone and you will not hear the digital noise if the repeater is being used in a digital mode.

CHIRP is a free, open-source tool for programming amateur radios, it is free and supports many radios. We have made a CHIRP file with just one channel set for GB3RF. You can download this and copy the GB3RF channel into your own radios configuration file.

Link to CHIRP's website so you can download the free software and check if it supports your radio.
